Mindtree Kalinga Campus
About the project:

This 20-acre campus, designed for Mindtree, an information technology company, houses their centralized learning centre plus software production offices for 5,000 persons. The design proposition is to create a community at the intersection of nature and life. The context of two adjacent protected landscapes, a hill on the east and a reserve forest on the west, are used to create a linear landscape sequence called ‘The Path of Life’. This intersects with ‘The Social Circle’, an encircling movement path that touches all buildings. From this masterplan scale, each building in the campus is designed to promote a sense of community. Rainwater harvesting ponds, bricks made of mud, passive cooling and native landscape species are among the sustainable design strategies of this Leed Platinum rated campus. One acre of pond created in the campus is helping in achieving water neutrality.
