The project captures propositions about liveability at level of the individual apartment, the tower and the site. An individual home often has a strong sense of centre (courtyard) which is in this case is developed by focusing on living verandahs and capturing sweeping views. Radiating form provides privacy by ensuring that no apartment looks directly into another apartment. The tower scale the facade by rhythmic cascades of verandahs, and the height and segmented articulation creating an iconic form. The site creates a sense of community by centering on a large verdant landscape of spaces for gathering, recreation and relaxation; anchored at the two ends by a retail block and a clubhouse. The central spaces is a triangular veranda which is as big as a usable room and not a mere projection. This allows ample amount of light to enter the units. No two apartments face each other, and the convergent patio gives us open, unhindered and private views of the green landscape below. The triangular veranda lets in maximum day light into the heart of the units - Living unit and doing. The private area of the house (bedrooms) are placed away from the openings to avoid heat gain/storage.
