This project was commissioned to CnT through an invited competition to design a multi-tenanted office tower that would launch Aurobindo Realty, the real estate arm of the Aurobindo Group. The linear 300-metre long site is located at a prime junction in the center of Hi-Tech city, Hyderabad. The 105-metre tall structure is built using pre-cast concrete technology, and the top four floors are the headquarters of the Aurobindo Group. Lower floors contain lobbies and shared amenities including cafeterias, health club, and creche. The typical floor can be subdivided by up to four tenants. Two circu- lation and service cores are provided along the length of the building, posi- tioned on the southwest edge to shield offices from direct sunlight, and most of the office spaces open toward the north. The glass façade is articulated and scaled with an additional skin of a perforated aluminium diagonal grid.
